This is how the idea behind the Festi­val Tat­toos began – a crea­ti­ve for­mat that com­bi­nes sus­taina­bi­li­ty, art and social com­mit­ment in an uncon­ven­tio­nal way.

In 2024, the pro­ject recei­ved the Swiss Fund­rai­sing Award – reco­gni­ti­on for its inno­va­ti­ve approach to intro­du­cing peo­p­le to sus­tainable action in a playful and posi­ti­ve way.

In Switz­er­land, the team tours num­e­rous music festi­vals and sum­mer events every year – from open airs to cul­tu­ral events. Instead of tra­di­tio­nal fly­ers or appeals, real encoun­ters are crea­ted here: tem­po­ra­ry tat­toos with a sus­tainable mes­sa­ge, con­ver­sa­ti­ons about cir­cular thin­king, edu­ca­ti­on and social respon­si­bi­li­ty. Each of the­se moments counts – and has an impact far bey­ond the festi­val grounds.

The Festi­val Tat­toos are part of a young move­ment that shows that get­ting invol­ved can be easy, crea­ti­ve and inspi­ring. Anyo­ne who gets a tat­too sup­ports pro­jects that pro­mo­te edu­ca­ti­on, orga­nic far­ming and social inno­va­ti­on in Gha­na – direct­ly and trans­par­ent­ly. This crea­tes a cycle of awa­re­ness and impact: cele­bra­te here, shape the future the­re.
